Thing #6 (Mashups)

I created a Wordle for words identified with Havighurst's Adolescent Developmental Tasks.
It was a great way to review important terms and have fun at the same time.

I would promote the use of this program with all teachers. Students can create Wordles for books they've read instead of writing summary after summary. Additionally, content area teachers can introduce important unit vocabulary, tap into students' schema, and review concepts through Wordles.

  1. Using Wordle for vocabulary review is a great idea! I really like the idea of creating Wordles for books instead of summaries. It might be interesting to see how two Wordle Summaries (books) compare... like if both have conflict or similar plots, etc.

  2. What a great idea to use Wordle as a response to books! You have inspired me to think of other ways to use Wordle. We often debrief after an activity, especially a new one. I can see using Wordle as a way for students to express their responses.
